A Weekend of Irish Entertainment on Tap at Brick Oven Bistro & Deli

Brick Oven Bistro & Deli, located at 910 Abbott Road in the heart of Buffalo’s Irish District, will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this weekend with live music and no shortage of delicious corned beef specials!

South Buffalo’s own Crikwater will entertain with Irish and Celtic music beginning at approximately 9 p.m. this Friday and Saturday. Crikwater’s song list includes a wide variety of pub songs, ballads, sea shanties, rebel songs, folk music and more. They play with an edge that’s sure to get your feet stomping! 

And, the fun continues on Sunday with Irish music by Mullingar at 4 p.m., so be sure to stop by the Brick Oven after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Buffalo.

New Dog Ears Café Opens in South Buffalo Bookstore

The new Dog Ears Café has officially opened its doors at 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo, sharing a building with the nonprofit Dog Ears Bookstore. A special grand opening celebration will take place on Saturday, Jan. 12, and will feature food and drink specials, raffles and readings.

Hours at the new café are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. (Limited hours are in effect until Jan. 2.) The interior of the building has been redesigned to allow for easy customer flow between the bookstore and the café.

Erie County, NY- Dunkin’ Donuts will be giving a real caffeine jolt to Erie County Clerk’s Office “Thank-A-Vet” Discount Program.  “We at Dunkin’ Donuts love our veterans, and our participation in the Erie County Clerk’s “Thank-A- Vet” Discount Program shows how grateful we are for their service to our country,” stated Timothy E. Cloe, whose firm Northern Star Restaurant Management Inc., has been running Dunkin’ Donut franchises in Erie, Chautauqua and portions of Niagara counties since March 2011.

All Erie County Dunkin’ Donuts locations will be offering 10% discount to Veterans presenting the Erie County Clerk’s Office “Thank-A-Vet” discount card.

Brick Oven Bistro & Deli Adds Sunday Brunch to Expanding Menu

South Buffalo’s popular Brick Oven Bistro & Deli continues to expand its services and will begin offering Sunday brunch on Nov. 11. Brunch service will run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sundays, followed by regular dinner service through 8 p.m.

“We are truly overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from the community, and we are always listening to the suggestions of our loyal customers,” said co-owner John Glavey. “Since opening our doors in February, we’ve expanded our hours and added catering services. And, we will continue to make changes that will allow us to grow and strengthen our business and help Western New York’s economy.”
