Local Golfer Records Rare "Albatross" at Briarwood C.C.

HAMBURG, NY -- The only thing more rare than a hole-in-one in golf, is the double eagle, also known as an "Albatross", and former Frontier HS golfer Trevor Burke achieved the rare feat Saturday at Briarwood C.C. in Hamburg.

The 20-year old Burke recorded  a two on the par 5,  547 yard  7th hole at Briarwood by hitting a 290 yard drive off the tee, followed by a 257 yard 3-wood on his second shot that rolled into the hole.

Burke will start his junior year at John Carroll University in Cleveland this fall, where, no surprise here, he is a member of the golf team.
